1. White kurma

I have seen this kurma eaten with parotta during evenings at Tamilnadu. I am taking this recepie from YouTube Vismai food.

1.1. Masa paste

1.1.1. Ingredients

  • 3/4th cup fresh coconut
  • 3 Spicy Green chillies
  • 1 Tbsp Saunf
  • 1/2 inch Ginger
  • 6-7 Garlic pods
  • 5 Cloves
  • 1 Inch Cinnamon
  • 3 Green Cardamom
  • 1/4 cup Cashew (30 min. soaked)
  • Roasted Chana Dal (Putnalu)

1.1.2. Process

Grind to fine paste. Instead of water it will be better to add milk (vegan is also fine).

1.2. Veggies

  • Green peas (Pachhi batani)
  • French beans
  • One potato peeled and cut into small cubes
  • One Carrot cut into small cubes
  • 1/4th Cauliflower cut into small florets

1.3. Cooking

  1. Pressure cooker pot –> Hot
  2. 1 Tbsp oil + 1 Tbsp Ghee + Stone flower + 1 Bay leaf –> Fry for 2 minutes
  3. Step 2 + Veggies –> Fry for 5 minutes
  4. Step 3 + Masala paste + 400 ml water –> 4 minutes on Instant pot
    • Alternate: 2 whistles on medium flame and 1 whistle on hight flame on stove
