1.1. Vel pongal
Tamilian style.
- Dry roast
- 1 Cup rice + 1 Cup moong dal — Dry roast on low flame until they give aroma.
- Cook
- Step 1 + 4 cups water — Cook in instapot under rice setting.
- Temper
- Ingredients: cashews, curry leaves, crushed black pepper, cumin, mustard seeds, split green chilli, grated ginger.
- tempering ingredients — Fry in ghee
- Mix
- Step 3+ tempering ingredients — Mix, add hot water as needed.
